I just read this, and found it electrifying news that could well transform the current climate of resignation and resentful acceptance. By charging these men it could help to keep the question of responsibility and liability current, even though there is sure to be increased resistance from the authorities. I only hope the prosecutions case is well grounded and has sufficient power to avoid a meltdown under cross examination by the defence counsel. One article even suggested that the proceedings could result in shocking revelations about the disaster, which could lead to increased polarisation on the issue, but I think for the most it is a positive step.
I think you've penetrated the core of the matter - let's just hope it doesn't unleash a tsunami of runaway chain reactions.
