I pass through Yokohama station everday but often drive to Azamino station on the Denentoshi.
Mainichi zookeeper story wrote:...the 46-year-old zookeeper molested the schoolgirl on a packed carriage at about 7:45 a.m. A male passenger realized what Yanagida was doing ....One of the most popular features at the zoo is the "Contact Corner," where children can touch and hug animals

Generally speaking, the high school girls expose themselves and groping is totally uncalled for unlike what Zookeeper-san was doing. Whenever I pull out my Pongi Cam(tm), perverts always seem to stop.

I live close to Yokohama Station and generally catch Tokaido or Toyoko-sen to reach Tokyo....

and the F*cking Molestors always piss me off...What I do not understand is that the females very rarely speak out against it...mostly they shift position and try to move away whenever the train stops...

Do you see this (or experience this) first hand often? I have had a few hair sniffers which is why I mainly wear my long hair up these days but otherwise I haven't seen much of it on my trains.

I have been known to jab an obvious offender in the shoulder and tell him that I can see what he is doing... I have also seen one guy being dragged off the train by the scruff of his badly fitted suit by another guy to the station master but that is about all. I think that the best way is for others who can see this sort of problem to step in and help somebody who is too shy to help themselves.

At least once every two weeks, I cannot speak japanese much which is why even if I see the pervert in action first hand I am unable to do anything about it...but once a guy was leaning on a young girl, and it seems she was with a male friend. I think she told her friend and this male friend started shouting Hora! Hora! (whatever it means) and literally dragged the perv on the platform at Kawasaki.

I took the Tokaido line everday for 16 years. Oh Buddha the perverts I've seen.

Besides trying to take their picture, my two favorite prev-preventing stuntz are:
1. Curse at them in random foriegn languages.
2. Toss their bags or briefcase outside the door as the closing bell starts to sound.
Either way, the perverts have to swifty slither out the doors before they close. Remember:When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

A simple stern look and "DA-ME" wuold work fine.. just make it loud so that others will hear. It is just not acceptable to be a groper and people will step into assist.

..and the size of your brass balls is....? Seriously, not being able to speak japanese is a big handicap in such situations. I mean I have heard so many stories of a Gaijin dragged away in an altercation and the nihonjin is left free to go. But If I see an average perv, I try to get close to the perv and accidently kick him VERY hard on the shins as I am getting out at Shinbashi...always makes my day...

Gaijin means: crazy ass foreigner that smells like butter.
Applies especially to beer swillin' Dutchmen like yourself.

BTW, Holland rocks. But I haven't been there in years.
I quite liked Amsterdam. Saw some good rock shows
(Gore - and the Young Gods at Van Hallen Stradt Squat)
and checked out the cafes, most definitely.

What's Utrecht like? It's the second biggest city on Holland isn't it?

Always root for you lunatics in the World Cup...Go Orange!

Living in Jimbocho, on a Working Hilliday Visa
No where near to being a fuckedgaijin yet, im still in the exasperated stage.
I am of the opinion that the locals are the most small minded set of souls, this side of the Bush familly.
I love Jimbocho though, if anyone else lives there, im the blonde, blue eyed young Brit, who's been giving you dirty looks for the past few weeks.
My fav food, you ask?
Well Natto or Uni sushi, actually
My fav beer?, well arn't you a nosey bastard
Its that Sapporo in the gold can, traditional brew or somthing
