Bobby Fischer isn't German, not Filippino, he's JAPANESE

Anyway, it was a shameful twisting of Mrs Watai's words. Of course she knew of the other woman.
"Watai said she was not worried about a report by a Philippine newspaper on Monday quoting a local chess grandmaster as saying Fischer had a Filipino wife and a child living there.
"Bobby has said he has never been married until now, so I don't think there is a problem," Watai said."

What bugs me more is the claim of Mr. Bosnitch that he doesn't know anything about Bobby Fischer's rantings, sheesh.

She did not say these words (unless it was in person after the conference, which I doubt, because my boss and I were with her nearly the whole time):

"I have asked him in the past if he had a child and he never said anything. He told me that he is single."

Watai actually asked Fischer if he had ever been married and he said "no."
Actually, to be a little bit fair to the writer, the interpreter (who I have seen perform brilliantly on several occasions in the past) had an off day yesterday, badly misinterpreting dozens of comments. Masako Suzuki pulled her up a few times.
Because so much of the conference was dedicated to explaining the legal processes Fischer it going through, it was really confusing and complicated. My boss, one of the best writers of plain Japanese in the country, said he really struggled to understand what was being said.
Incidentally, I'll go on the record here as saying that I actually believe Watai. My boss and one of the defense team are pretty chummy and based on what she said there's little doubt they're an item.

Hee, hee, I had to tease you since EVERY Farkerin not in Japan thinks the Mainichi Daily News Online is purposely running false stories rather than just amusingly reporting on the absurdities of the Japanese press and "sports" newspapers. How little do the Farkersknow (that like my life) IT'S ALL TRUE!
