Does that first picture qualify as a ninjashot?

Booklet/toy from some show in Italy about Japan's otaku. I just got my box today in the mail, booklet is kind of interesting but doesn't cover anything too unknown.

That is an amazing bit of work though, where is that situated or is it a photochop?

Thats why I posted it.

It's an amazingly done photoshop.

Only thing I can think of is that someone that actually owns that doll, went and took pictures of it in shadow and in sunlight. Same pic, but covering the doll for the shadow pic.

Then they had to take a picture of the real area at the same angle.

Then they used photoshop to add shadows from shadow pic and to position the doll.

This is all just a theory, but I do know that the location IS real.

Amazing, very good work.

The close up of the legs gave it away a bit, without that i would have never guessed.

I'm going to guess that is Akihabara. Right?

Right! The staff at the Otaku exhibition told me there had been an exhibition in Akihabara last year with that figure made for Akihabara, called Akiku from shin-yokohama. She couldn't tell me whether it was still exhibited but was pretty sure about it.

edit: correct Arina Shinyokohama from Akihabara- cheers KG

I am not one to disagree with the esteemed Vir-gin, but I've seen this character referred to as ""Arina Shinyokohama in Akihabara"

Here's a slightly better shot of the original.

These links have pictures from the exhibit itself.

Some of it looks very shop-like but you can tell it is an exhibit because those aisles are way too wide for any retail estalishment in Akihabara...well the orignal aso bit city might have had some aisles that wide, which might explain why it closed (it's now a Don Quijote) and moved to smaller, more cramped quarters down the block.
the links at the bottom of this page lead to more photos

 thank you Kuang Grade! I prefer correct information to self establishment :D also my Japanese is limited, so this information could lack correctness too. But I think everybody here is wide awake and will correct what is wrong, ne!
