I was looking at the pictures from this thread and I thought, not for the first time, that women back then were more pleasing to the eye. Not just more attractive, but also healthier and more wholesome...just more lady-like. I've thought so about American women as well as Japanese women.
What are your thoughts on this? I know women today are wearing less clothing, but it seems that women of yesterday cultivated a spirit of pleasantness that is able to be seen through the lens of a camera that women of today don't have. I'm not saying ALL women. But it seems women have substituted sexiness for character. I think men have done the same, but since I don't look at them, I cannot comment too much.
Where are the TRUE ladies? I'm not talking about women who cower before the potent might of their husbands. That's a misogynistic (sp) fantasy.
I mean women of character and strength, yet are not brash and brazen and dress like whores.
Yes, I know I am old fashioned in some ways, but I do not believe that it is a bad thing. Everything "old" is not always good to throw away.
